Membership: FAQ

Membership

1.Why do you only offer a one-year membership?

We offer a one-year membership for several reasons.  We realize that fitness is a way of life and not a quick fix.   If you are serious about improving the quality of your life, then working out will need to become a part of your day-to-day routine.  Most people can’t accomplish their goals in less than 12 months. We are here to make sure that you are successful.  As a member, you will appreciate the fact that we do not offer short-term memberships.  Our policy is the main reason why our pools are not so crowded in the summer.  We realize that being a member is a privilege and that we want to protect the integrity of your club.

2.How many adults are allowed on a membership?

We allow 2 adults on a membership.  An adult is anyone over the age of 22.  We do, however, have an out-of-town college membership that is very affordable.

3. Do you offer corporate rates?

Yes, we have several discounted rates available. Please contact a membership representative for more information.

4. What is the best way to get started on a workout program?

We offer a Visual fitness plan to all of our new members.  This is an opportunity to meet with a fitness specialist and discuss your goals and set you up with a road map for success.

You will also complete an orientation with a fitness specialist to help you become familiar with our equipment.

5.  Are group fitness classes included?

Yes, all of our fitness classes are included on your membership. If you are interested in a specialty class, such as Hot Yoga or Pilates reformer, there is an additional charge.

6.  Are your pools open year round?

Yes, our pools are open year round and they are heated.

7. Can I bring a guest?

We are a members-only club, however, we understand that sometimes you might want to invite a guest to see all that The Arena Club has to offer.  We do extend invitations to Harford County residents who have not been a guest of the club in the past.  Out-of-town guests will pay a fee of $15.00; $10.00 for our seniors.

8. What is considered a couple membership?

A  couple membership is two adults living at the same address.  Proof of address is required.

9. What credit cards do you except?

We except Visa and Mastercard

10.  Do you have pool only memberships?

Since our pools are open year round our membership is for 1 year and also includes access to the fitness areas of the club.
