Athlete of the Week
LaKiah Huff
Joppatown Basketball Player, LaKiah Huff, was selected as The Arena Club’s “Athlete of the Week.”
LaKiah Huff connected on 4-of-5 three points attempts and finished with a game-high 23 points to lead Joppatown to a 62-41 win over Elkton, Wednesday night, in UCBAC girls basketball.
Huff also added 10 rebounds to record a double-double and added three assists. Shakara Head also had big evening for Joppatowne, scoring 22 points while claiming six rebounds and five blocks.
The Mariners also received eight points from Te'jha Patton and TroiQuay Mailloy scored six points and dished eight assists.
Desiree Efoye did her best to keep Elkton in the contest, draining three three-points and scoring 22 points. Lena Hicks added nine points for the Elks.
