Youth Fitness

At The Arena Club, we empower youth to take charge of their health by building a strong foundation for lifelong wellness. We work to set youth up for success by teaching proper techniques and ensuring safe equipment use. Our supportive environment helps teens develop a deeper understanding of fitness, giving them the tools to embrace a healthy, active lifestyle with confidence and enthusiasm.


Youth Barbell & Strength Training

Our Youth Barbell Training Program for ages 13-15 is designed to teach young athletes the fundamentals of barbell training in a safe and controlled environment. Strength training promotes healthy weight management, supports cardiovascular health, improves posture, and reduces the risk of musculoskeletal issues, setting the foundation for a lifetime of fitness and well-being.

License To Train

License to Train is an educational session designed to give 10-12-year-olds the proper instruction and orientation to exercise. It teaches them how to safely and effectively use our facility while following appropriate exercise practices.

Cardiovascular Exercise Orientation: Participants will be introduced to the treadmill, upright bike, and recumbent bike, which are essential pieces of equipment for strengthening the heart and lungs.

Resistance Exercise Orientation: The Life Fitness band circuit, consisting of ten resistance machines, will be demonstrated as an effective way to develop skeletal muscles and build overall strength.

Abdominal & Core Exercise Orientation: The abdominal and stretching area of the fitness floor will be included to enhance core and abdominal strength, along with overall endurance.

Group Exercise Orientation: Group fitness classes provide an engaging way to exercise with others. This orientation will cover conduct, behavior, and expectations for participants in the class.

At the end of this session, the child will be Certified and Licensed to operate and participate in:

  • Treadmills
  • Recumbent & Upright Bikes
  • Life Fitness Band Circuit
  • Abdominal & Core area of the fitness floor
  • Yoga Flex
  • Pilates Mat
  • Zumba
  • Cardio Drumming
  • Barre format classes
  • Reset & Recover

Youth who have completed the program are required to be under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian who is directly next to them at all times. Please understand that this program is non-refundable.
