Jason-Web

Certifications: ISSA CPT, Thrive Coach

About: I have lived in Harford County for the majority of my life. My sport in high school was football.

Specialties: Personal Training, Thrive Coach

Training philosophy: There is more to training than just the goals being met. It’s about beating who you were yesterday. It’s about a better quality of life. It’s about being able to fully enjoy the moments with our loved ones and every other precious moment we hold on to. It’s about being the best version of ourselves for the best version of our lives.

Interesting Fact: I have broken my neck which allowed me to rebuild myself and fully appreciate what our bodies are capable of doing.

What got you into coaching: After seeing how fitness can change lives I want to help others experience this.

What led you to The Arena Club?

I felt welcome the very first day I walked through the doors, I knew it was home for me.

What is your approach to training?

First, understand my client's needs and wants, as well as understand his or her body. That way we can come together as a team, and make the most effective plan, to reach our goals.

What do you enjoy about being a personal trainer?

I have a chance to help coach and teach. And help others reach life-changing goals.

What would you say to someone who is considering personal training?

I would ask what are your goals, and what have you been doing to reach those goals. Let's come up with a personalized fitness program that will give you results

Share something interesting about you that others might not know after first meeting you:

I have over 25 plus years of training youth and professional athletes,  and over 10 years of training in weight loss. I specialize in skill training in the following sports Baseball, Basketball, football, Softball, and in Track and Field.

 GioB-HubspotEducation & Certifications:

Bachelors of Science in Sports Management, with a Minor in Applied Youth Development, and a concentration in Athletic Coaching.

What led you to the Arena Club?
As a sports performance coach, I had heard great things about The Arena Club for the past couple of years and this has always intrigued my interest, seeing as the fitness facility I was working at closed, it was the perfect opportunity to approach this facility and provide the teaching that I’ve gained in the past while also giving me the opportunity to learn from the great staff that is established here.
What is your approach to training?
My approach to training is on a client-to-client basis meaning that training will be dependent on their specific goals with structured sessions but also leaving room for the client to pick certain exercises safely to be able to keep things fun.

What do you enjoy about being a personal trainer?
Other than helping others reach their goals I enjoy providing information that was not readily available to me in the past, to help people be able to overcome difficulties and become more disciplined on their fitness journey. Using my experiences throughout the years of my own training. Being able to see the positive indirect effects fitness has on others.

What would you say to someone who is considering personal training?

Whether you're looking to improve your health, increase your athletic performance, or just believe that you would benefit from accountability or instruction, personal trainers can serve as a great asset to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to reach your fitness goals.
