What led you to the Arena Club?
As a sports performance coach, I had heard great things about The Arena Club for the past couple of years and this has always intrigued my interest, seeing as the fitness facility I was working at closed, it was the perfect opportunity to approach this facility and provide the teaching that I’ve gained in the past while also giving me the opportunity to learn from the great staff that is established here.
What is your approach to training?
My approach to training is on a client-to-client basis meaning that training will be dependent on their specific goals with structured sessions but also leaving room for the client to pick certain exercises safely to be able to keep things fun.

What do you enjoy about being a personal trainer?
Other than helping others reach their goals I enjoy providing information that was not readily available to me in the past, to help people be able to overcome difficulties and become more disciplined on their fitness journey. Using my experiences throughout the years of my own training. Being able to see the positive indirect effects fitness has on others.

What would you say to someone who is considering personal training?

Whether you're looking to improve your health, increase your athletic performance, or just believe that you would benefit from accountability or instruction, personal trainers can serve as a great asset to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to reach your fitness goals.

I am motivated to be a personal trainer because I love watching people grow, hit their goals, feel safe when working out, and not have to worry about injuries. Something about seeing someone improve because of my help just makes me happy to do what I’m doing.

Training philosophy: There is more to training than just the goals being met. It’s about beating who you were yesterday. It’s about a better quality of life. It’s about being able to fully enjoy the moments with our loved ones and every other precious moment we hold on to. It’s about being the best version of ourselves for the best version of our lives.

Interesting Fact: I have broken my neck which allowed me to rebuild myself and fully appreciate what our bodies are capable of doing.

What got you into coaching: After seeing how fitness can change lives I want to help others experience this.

What led you to The Arena Club?

After the closing of my previous gym, I was excited to find a place with the resources to train and help not just my current clients but future clients on a grander scale. The Arena Club has had great success for over 20 years, training both athletes and adults. It was a no-brainer.

What is your approach to training?

I like to keep things simple. Given the amount of information clouding social media and the internet, it’s hard to decipher what information is correct. While there are multiple views about how to train, I firmly believe that the best results are achieved by becoming advanced in the basics.

What do you enjoy about being a personal trainer?

Do it! Legendary Coach Johnny Parker said it best: “Every athlete, professional or otherwise, needs a coach, and every business owner or coach needs a mentor.” In short, no matter your skill or level of proficiency, everyone needs someone to steer them straight and provide guidance regarding their training goals. I would love to help in any way that I can!

What would you say to someone who is considering personal training?

I love the relationships that I build with each of my athletes and adult clients. I love seeing them work hard and knowing that they are working towards their goals. Often, I travel to my athletes' games, and the most rewarding part is watching them leave a hard-fought game healthy and smiling. In addition, another rewarding benefit of training is hearing about the feats of athleticism and stamina in the everyday lives of my adult fitness clients.
